Welcome to The HeartHeaded Way!
This podcast will create a space for women to tell their stories, share inspiration, and immerse in healthy conversation with other women in my village.
My greatest desire when I entered the professional world is, 'I wish I had a me that looked like me as a resource.' My hope is that the value in our village grows as we are indeed better together. Mentors matter…advocates matter…my village matters!

THIS IS MY STORY
It's De! It's always weird to write about myself. But, this area specifically says "My Story", so I'll get to it.

I am a wife to the amazing Corrie Wiley. I am a mother to Jonathan and Peyton. I am a big sister to Nickie and a daughter to the one and only Queen Irene. I am a woman who loves God and who loves to talk. In my professional life, I am a product manager as well as a project manager. In my personal time, I like to journal and mentor young women in project management. Mentoring is my passion. It is a valued connection that is so rewarding.

I began mentoring in the area of project management years ago as one of the main challenges that I encountered as I began to make changes in my career was...I wished there was a me that looked liked me to give me guidance. As I began to dig further into conversations with the mentees, I became very interested in the way we addressed changed individually-some of us leading with our hearts and some of us leading with our heads. But, also..there was another lane here that interested me-the unseen value in my village. During my time home during the covid months, I got to see all of the talent, skills, and personal/business endeavors the women on my timeline were blowing out of the water. How did I not know about all of this value in my village? I wanted to address this. I wanted to share the value in my village. The HeartHeaded Way podcast was birth to share this value.
What if all of the #blackgirlmagic and #browngirlmagic in our village created a community of mentorship and support? How amazing is it to get support and help from someone who looks like you. Regardless if you are a heart or a head-the village conversations are AH-MAZ-ING, and the support is mind blowing. Ladies, welcome to your village. Let's lock arms and be the change we want to see happen around us. I just have one question to ask before we get started...are you a heart or are you a head? Let's talk!
